A Little Bit About Florence
The City of Florence in Fremont County, occupies the very nearly central position in the great state of Colorado. Fremont County contains within its borders mountain peaks approaching the 14,000 mark and the lowest valley in the state. It contains within its borders not only the Royal Gorge, but it contains another of equal, if not greater beauty, the canon of Eight Mile Creek once traversed by the picturesque and beautiful scenic line of the Florence and Cripple Creek Railway and the Gold Belt Tour, well noted for its scenery.
It’s that time of year again! The Florence Farmers Market will begin their yearly vending on Thursday June 5th. Expect to see familiar faces, homemade crafts, and a variety of homegrown/homemade foods. Vendors will officially open at 8 a.m! Take a walk, drive, or run down to The Pioneer Park and enjoy some freshly roasted coffee from our very own, Pour House. Vendors will vary week to week, but will be open from 8am-1pm for sale. Stain glass, woodworks, cinnamon rolls, jewelry, candles, and fresh produce will all make an appearance at this years Farmers Market. Come support our community Thursday morning!
